That Corporate Empath

Hello! I’m the Corporate Empath, a bold woman who took on the corporate world! But it took time! Read below for more!

Monthly update: SteepleChange FRAME ICT Change methodology

Here’s how it all started…

Ok…I was working as a Change Analyst for 6 years…an eternity! I just ended up hating my job and hating going there every morning. I decided that it was time for me to change. I didn’t know what to do to move career, especially after having spent that much time in one same career…

So I had a look around for jobs higher than Change Analyst, in my case, Change Manager. The prospect of being a Change Manager was so motivating because Change Manager are involved in so much more than just creating spreadsheet and flowcharts. They’re actually involved in the whole operational strategy and they literally meet with every team in the company…I found that so cool. They just exude confidence. So I wanted to be one of them!

I found heaps of jobs as an IT Change Manager but they always want some sort of certification or diploma, but they were all so expensive, and I’m definitely not going back to Uni!

One day I came across the SteepleChange Website. They offer this FRAME ICT Change Management methodology certification, called “FRAME IT Change Management Certification” and I decided to go for it!

What is the SteepleChange FRAME ICT Change Management Certification? Is it really worth it?

The quick answer is yes! Absolutely! For the price you pay, which is quite reasonable compared to any other courses I’ve seen online, you get all information and detailed steps you should follow as a Change Manager. It’s not just about the theory, it’s heavily based on experience which is exactly what I need.

If I go to an interview for an ICT Change Manager job they won’t care about the theory, they want to hear about actual practical examples of what you would do in certain situations. After 2 days of this intense course (yes it’s very intense, make sure you load up on caffeine), I was ready to step into the shoes of a Change Manager AND I was ready to do any interviews, the trainer is a Senior Change Manager who worked across 6 multinationals and 8 different projects, what an inspiration. She just knows from experience everything you need to say at interviews!

Below are some key concepts from the methodology. Basically the idea is that your responsibilities as an IT Change Manager will be different based on the size of the project you’re in, so the “frame” of work to complete adapts to the size of the project. But you still need The bonus is that it also tells you what to do if you have tight dealines (we alll know how big companies love a good high-pressure project, thanks…yes I’m being ironic) to avoid burn-out.

It also explain the cycles in an ICT Change setting in simplified way.

Make $1200 a day! You deserve it!

Ok so how am I doing now? Well, I’m on $1200/day working on implementing a new booking system into a travel company! I love my job, AND yes of course, I love my salary 🙂

The other bonus is that usually IT Change Managers work a few days from home, so perfect for a good work-life balance!

Go ahead guys! Make that change for your life! The Website is steeplechange.com

As usual, I will get back to you in one month for another update!
